Learning Inside Out
LSF began curating this weekly collection of activities during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when everyone was learning from home and teachers and parents were scrambling to keep kids engaged. Learning had been turned inside out!
The guides were so popular, we decided to keep them going! Our experts curate the weekly resources and activities from our Resources for Rethinking (R4R) database, so you can be confident they have been vetted by teachers and connected to Canadian education outcomes, wherever you are.
Every week has a different theme based on:
- LSF’s Step Outside Nature Guides on R4R, focused on seasonal happenings
- LSF’s Hot Topics Guides on R4R, which follow major campaigns and events
- The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which cover everything from climate change to equity
We also put a special emphasis on outdoor learning—we always recommend taking your learning from inside to out!
If you are looking to purchase outdoor learning products (e.g. dip nets, sit pads, field guides, magnifiers, etc.) visit Canada’s Non-Profit Outdoor Learning Store where a portion of the proceeds of sales go to support outdoor learning non-profit organizations from across the country!
