Registration: "Beaver's Voice" Indigenous Virtual Climate Action Youth Forum - Fall 2024

Call on Beaver’s wisdom and teachings for a sustainable future!

This FREE virtual event is for Indigenous students in grades 5-8 across Canada.

The Forum runs Oct-Nov, 2024 and will include:

  • Resources & support for teachers – a Two-Eyed Seeing approach to climate learning
  • Indigenous-led workshops for students – virtual sessions available on your own schedule
  • $1,000 school grants to support student-led climate action projects & your school’s technology needs

All sessions will be available both live and recorded to suit your schedule.

Total time commitment is approximately 4-6 hours, not including engaging in a climate Action Project with your students.

Student workshops will take a Two-Eyed Seeing approach to various climate change issues that impact your communities and will present ideas and opportunities for students to take action! Workshops will be delivered by expert Indigenous organizations/individuals to provide relevant context and insight for your students and act as potential community partners for your Action Projects.

Complete 4+ workshops with your class (at your own pace!) to receive your $1,000 grant! Grants can be used to support student-led climate Action Projects and your school’s technology needs.
